Batik painting on rice paper

I traced the leaves on rice paper, I then painted with watercolor paints, I then used encaustic wax  to cover the painted areas. After the encaustic
wax, I then painted the background of the page with watercolor paint and then again covered the entire page with encaustic wax. After all the wax and paint dried, I crumbled the paper and placed it between to paper towels, and used an iron with parchment paper to melt off all the wax.  I used the We R Memory frame punch board with card stock to frame the painting. Another fun project.
