To make the bowls I used Plaster of Paris, Elmers Glue all, Water, Vinegar, and wet strips of copy paper. This was another fun project. Learning new ways to craft with different materials is so much fun!1

I used Tim Holtz tissue paper, Liquitex inks, stamps, masks, and Jane Davenport watercolors. Another fun time with mixed media.

Needle felting in my art

Fun fabric journal page with needle felted hearts, watercolor & oxide ink circles. I never realized how easy and relaxing needle felting is. I am in still in the  needle felting learning process... So much fun.

Encaustic Wax on Hardbord

The wonderful world of Wax, I have found that using wax with mixed media art is very rewarding and it intensifies color on each project and enables creativity. The project below was painted with the encaustic iron and colored encaustic wax pieces.

Batik painting on rice paper

I traced the leaves on rice paper, I then painted with watercolor paints, I then used encaustic wax  to cover the painted areas. After the encaustic
wax, I then painted the background of the page with watercolor paint and then again covered the entire page with encaustic wax. After all the wax and paint dried, I crumbled the paper and placed it between to paper towels, and used an iron with parchment paper to melt off all the wax.  I used the We R Memory frame punch board with card stock to frame the painting. Another fun project.

I purchased the muslin fabric from www.joann.com, the printing blocks were purchased from www.amazon.com and the Fabric paint from www.michaels.com
