I joined a face book group - " one little craft tag:.. So many beautiful items posted, so many talented members. I posted the tag below using my prima  rust effect paste with steam punk gears, eyelets and stamps... another  fun project. We post our tags with our own style of creating.

Altered Cookie Tin Can

I decided to alter my empty cookie tin can. It was a lot of fun .. I started with black gesso, I then added crackle paste. After that dried, I added a  brown viva paper application, stamping with archival ink, and sprayed prima bloom tea spray. I enjoyed this process, this my first altered metal piece with more to come..

Art Journals and Mixed Media Art

In the recent months, I have engaged in mixed media art. I always wanted to draw and never could to my liking.  I have engaged in  many crafts, I love to create. I love making jewelry, creams, crocheting etc...  Mixed Media Art is another way of creating art where your skills of drawing is not needed. I highly recommend this craft to all those who enjoy creating artistic colors and shapes on canvas or on paper for that matter. The acrylic paints are very inexpensive as well as the the mediums and tools needed to get started.  It has truly been wonderful experience since the beginning. I am now enrolled in journalling groups, where I display my artwork along with others.  I will display my artwork in my blog periodically sharing my work. I am in process of learning how to do a video with details of the instruments and supplies used to create my art work. There are so many choices, you can use stencils, stamps,  tissue paper, napkins. You can create your own stamps or stencils. You can use a gelli plate to make mono prints on your canvas or art paper. It is an exciting world of creating thru art media.  The opportunities of creating art in the Mixed Media world are endless.

Using Nature's Products for Laundry

While searching for healthier alternative solutions to every day living, I came across some interesting facts. I would like to share as an alternative recipe for a three ingredient laundry detergent product. In the beginning I must admit I was apprehensive in trying anything other than Tide, All, Cheer etc. Those listed as well as other detergents was all I  knew. The only way to get your laundry clean was to wash with the detergents that were advertised and sold in the supermarkets.  Once I began researching natural products for the skin, I decided to do the same for my  clothing. If one is attempting to lesson the foreign ingredients in skin care, it just makes sense to attempt the same option for the clothing that you wear against your skin. Today I am going to share some important facts for changing your laundry detergent preferences. This article will educate you on the earth's deposits that have proven cleaning components. There are many alternative reviews on the listing of ingredients I will provide, however I have the seen the difference in my laundry and with that proof that is all I needed to continue with producing my own laundry detergent. The three ingredients listed can be purchased from several locations at a minimal cost and will last way beyond a normal bottle or box of detergents purchased from your local grocery stores. Fels- Naptha & Dr. Bonners soaps - The ingredients in these soaps are not all natural, there are some foreign ingredients listed but to add these soaps to the washing soda, and Borax is closer to a healthier and more natural  choice.

I am Back!

I took a few months off to decide how to proceed with my blog. I changed the name from Scented Creations4U to  DenisesViews I have decided to discuss various subjects, as well as market my businesses in my posts.  I would like to re-introduce myself to my readers.  I am senior who is now engaged in my life long dream of being an entrepreneur.  This is a long over due dream that has finally come true. I have worked for various industries in the Customer Service Field, enjoying every minute of it. With that in mind  I chose  the "Telephone Messaging Source" as a continuation of my passion for assisting others.  I am a spontaneous and creative individual making all the decisions in life with an open mind. I am deeply in touch with my emotions, therefore anything I engage in I put my heart and soul into it. Through life we all have overcome many challenges and adversities. There were times in life that we all never imagined overcoming those obstacles,  however with positive thought , determination, and faith we are here to  move on. My belief is that life can be very simple & complex. Simple meaning- choose what is best for you and go for it. Complex meaning you have to rethink which way to go forward.  I admire simplicity and I try to balance life with a great outlook on the good and the bad. I admire complexity as well, because it gives you a chance to re-evaluate, soul search, and then change the road to success. Accomplishments have no age restrictions.  Once you reach the age of sixty and over one should  re-evaluate the likes, dislikes, accomplishment, failures, and all the negatives. Then carefully decide how you are going to move forward towards your goal in this next chapter of your life . Become an innovator, make the world your playground  choosing which ride is best for you.  Play the cards you are dealt in this life like a winner regardless of what cards you receive :)  My textbook defines - WINNER and I shall continue to conquer the obstacles placed before me.
